13 year old developmental league rules changes/clarification from Babe Ruth Book:

 

  1. All players will be on the lineup card and will bat.
  2. Only pitchers have to be designated on the lineup card.
  3. Pitcher can only pitch seven innings a week.  If he pitches four innings in an outing he must have two days of rest before pitching again.  One pitch in an inning constitutes an inning of pitching.
  4. Free substitution throughout the game. 
  5. Games will be six innings.
  6. Games will be an hour and forty-five minutes.  We will complete the inning being played at time limit. 
  7. The run rule will be 15 after three innings or 10 after 4 innings.
  8. Babe Ruth Rule Book for pitching substitutions, bats sizes, etc.
  9. Rogers/Bentonville Play Rules – If player does not start a game he will start the next schedule game.  However, if a player misses practice or has a discipline problem, the coach will have the right to not start him once he has contacted league commissioner.  Each player to have min. of 3 defensive outs.

 

14/15 year olds rule changes from Babe Ruth book:

  6. Babe Ruth Rule Book for pitching substitutions, player re-entry into game, bats sizes, etc.
  7. Rogers/Bentonville Play Rules – If a player does not start a game he will start the next schedule game.  However, if a player misses practice or has a discipline problem, the coach will have the right to not start him once he has contacted league commissioner.
  8. Guidance to the coaches is that a player to have min. of 3 defensive outs and one at bat.  However, as result of time limit game or run rule games that may not happen.  That is the reason for rule number 7.
